As an Application Support Engineer, you will specialize in the Way4 payments processing application and its underlying platform technologies. The Application Support team is responsible for deploying, maintaining and configuring various application modules and together with the IT Infrastructure Team and Cloud Security Engineers are responsible for achieving high availability of their SaaS service.
What You Will Do:
- Assess impact, plan, and implement application patches and releases.
- Continuously monitor application health and availability, driving improvements where needed.
- Act as a key member of the incident response team, resolving critical incidents efficiently.
- Debug and resolve application defects in collaboration with the development team.
- Participate in integration, functional, and stress testing for application updates and patches.
- Manage and troubleshoot regular application processing tasks, ensuring smooth operations and performing routine maintenance.
- Implement and manage application configuration changes according to change orders.
Minimal Requirements to Apply:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL, scripting, or any programming language.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsive, and able to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Proficient in written communication in English.
- Self-motivated, with a desire for professional growth and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
Preferred (Not Mandatory):
- At least basic knowledge of Linux and/or Oracle DBMS.
- Familiarity with application development processes in an Agile environment.
- Experience in the payment cards, banking, or payments industry.
- Knowledge of payment scheme specifications and processes.
