Senior Back-end Developer (Node.js)

They have invested several millions into building the best technology and nutrition methodology in this 200-billion-dollar industry. Their ultimate dream is to help 1 billion people in their lifetime and become the go-to choice in the EU and the US for preventive medicine tools – both paid and freemium.

The company is looking for a Back-end Developer to join their 10-person IT team based in Riga. This team is dedicated to transforming healthcare into an experience as engaging and entertaining as video games while maintaining strict medical accuracy and delivering tangible benefits to users. What’s in it for you:

• Full-time work, 40 hours per week. Permanent employment;
• Monthly salary of 3000 - 4000 EUR net (after taxes) depending on your knowledge and evaluation;
• Hybrid working mode with general expectations of 3 days at the office, 2 remote. If you work at least 80% of the month from the office, you’ll get a 10% bonus to your salary;

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain APIs for web and mobile applications;
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL (indexing and optimizing them)
• Work with Nest.js and other relevant back-end tools and libraries.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the delivery of quality solutions.

Must have requirements:

• Senior-level knowledge working with Node.js;
• Experience in API development;
• Experience working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL);
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to articulate ideas, persuade stakeholders, and effectively plan tasks;
• Ability to write efficient and well-structured code;

Nice to have, but not mandatory to have to apply:

• Experience with NestJS framework, Blitz.js framework
• Experience working with ORM (Prisma, TypeORM, MikroORM)
