Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based backend services
- Build and manage RESTful APIs and event-based microservices
- Participate in planning and delivery of cloud-native applications
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and containerize services using Docker & Kubernetes
- Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, and system reliability
- Support and mentor junior developers and trainees
- Collaborate with the frontend team, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to deliver high-quality software
- Follow agile methodologies (SCRUM) and advocate for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Backend Developer working with Python
- Strong knowledge of FastAPI, Django, or Flask (either one)
- Experience designing REST APIs and building microservices
- Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
- Proficiency in working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- Experience working in agile teams
Not mandatory to Apply, but will be considered a plus:
- Experience with OpenShift or hybrid cloud environments
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture
- Exposure to code quality tools and test automation strategies
- Knowledge of SAP or Microsoft ecosystems
- Knowledge of German language
