Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

In this role you will work with the UK financial market and be part of the leadership team alongside Founders, Managing Director, Advisors and Head of Compliance. You will also be supported by the Accounting Department and a back office person who is responsible for payment reconciliations, generation and processing.

Their offer:

  • Full-time, permanent employment contract;
  • Dynamic and rewarding work in an international company of 15 people;
  • Hybrid work and flexible hours. Minimum 1x per week from the office either in Riga or the centre of London;
  • Salary budget from 4000 - 6000 EUR gross. It could be potentially higher for the right candidate or your ability to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Finance/Accounting Department and external services;
  • Record economic activity, prepare reports, and collaborate with regulators;
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial analysis;
  • Be involved with other stakeholders in developing and implementing financial risk strategies, including crisis management;
  • Ensure regulatory requirements and engage with authorities;
  • Lead accounting system development, team development, and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or strategic role either in Accounting or Finance;
  • Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards;
  • Knowledge of management reporting methods and tools;
  • Experience in collaboration with external financial auditing partners;
  • Analytical, problem solving and strategic decision making skills;
  • Strong English, both spoken and written communication.

Not mandatory to apply, but it is a plus if you already have:

  • Work experience with banking or fintech/payment systems;
  • Knowledge with the UK financial market or accounting standards;
  • Knowledge of UK tax incentives schemes, employee stock incentives and modelling;
  • Experience with Financial or Operational Risk Management.
