Senior QA Engineer

In 2023, net sales of this company amounted to 11.1 billion euros and they employ about 4000 people. Their Supply, Solutions, and Service divisions cater to a transactional range of hardware/software, customized IT solutions and ready-to-use IoT applications, and subscription-based cloud offerings for software/hardware as well as platforms for cybersecurity, IoT, virtualization and AI.

With the support and close collaboration with the company’s QA community and QA lead, you will play a pioneering role as a Senior QA Engineer for the Webshop platform team to establish and lead QA processes, frameworks, and strategies, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end testing. This position offers significant autonomy, allowing you to shape the team’s testing approach across both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Main responsibilities:

  • QA Strategy & Planning: Define and implement QA strategies, balancing between manual and automated testing. Work closely with the Development Team, Product Owner, and other QA community members to refine requirements and plan testing strategies.
  • Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks from scratch, particularly for end-to-end testing.
  • Testing Execution & Management: Create, manage, and execute test cases and scenarios, including automated and manual testing for frontend and backend components.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Deliver organized QA reports, analyze test results, and suggest improvements to enhance QA practices.
  • Act as the key QA advocate for the team, guiding testing best practices, creating guidelines, and proposing QA initiatives to optimize processes.

Must-have requirements to apply:

  • Professionally matured QA Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience;
  • Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch;
  • Experience in End-to-End Application testing;
  • Can propose initiatives on process improvement and justify their professional advice or opinion;
  • Experience in managing testing environments;
  • Hands-on experience in Test Management Tools;
  • Knowledge of different QA Methodologies;
  • Experience in transforming requirements to testing artifacts;
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Can meet up with the whole team once or twice a year (in Germany or another pre-selected location).

‍Nice-to-have any one of these skills (not mandatory to apply):‍

  • A bachelor's or master's degree or relevant education is considered an advantage,
  • Knowledge of API Testing (not relevant in the beginning, however, later will be needed),
  • Interest in Testing industry evolution and CI / CD Practices,
  • ISTQB Foundations Certification
  • Load, Performance, Security testing experience
  • Occasional participation in IT Audits

The Offer:

  • Annual salary up to 66,000 EUR gross (before taxes), depending on your experience and skills. Additionally, there is an annual bonus of 2,000 EUR (based on achieved objectives).some text
