Our client is a licenced Electronic Money Institution and technology company specializing in payment acceptance solutions for merchants and partners across the EU and the UK. A variety of their Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Software Development Kits (SDKs) allow their payment solutions to be quickly integrated.
As a CTO you will be part of the Software Engineering division currently consisting of Head of Software Engineering, Systems Architect, team leads and developers that are working with high level architecture in place. They are looking forward to growing significantly over the coming years.

Responsibilities
- Keep driving and implementing a cohesive technology strategy and methods that align with the company’s product roadmap and business goals
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, embracing a diverse tech stack to stay at the forefront of technological advancement
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of technology projects, maintaining a balance between innovation, feasibility, and practicality
- Oversee technology and security risk management policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and integrate their feedback into technology solutions
- Be vocal in driving change. Create various internal forums for IT and business audiences to facilitate the transformation
- Anticipate and understand technological and industry trends to achieve competitive advantages
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a technology leadership role, in the fintech or banking sector
- Knowledge of the electronic payments industry, like payment processing, acquiring/issuing
- Understanding of PCI DSS and ISO 27001 standards and requirements
- Proven track of successful department and company-wide change management initiatives
- Ability to conduct technical interviews to select the best talent
- Experience of leading and growing diverse and international teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to coordinate and manage internal and external resources
- Strong organizational skills
- Great sense of humor
