Our partner is a company that offers engineering and manufacturing of biogas upgrading systems for anaerobic digesters and landfill projects. Evolving from compact gas treatment units, they now serve as comprehensive systems and plant providers, shaping the future of renewable energy by catering to the entire spectrum of gas generation and treatment needs.
Currently, they are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Riga. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services required for their projects. Your primary focus will be on negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for projects
- Evaluate supplier bids and negotiate contracts to obtain favorable terms and pricing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement
Requirements:
- Background in Engineering, either through education or work experience, preferably in an engineering company
- Proficiency in English and Russian language. Additionally, proficiency in the Latvian language is preferred.
- Proven experience as a procurement specialist or similar role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools (they use Jira and Atlassian)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
